This place is not just for train spotters but celebrates the invention of the train. It is a huge museum, well I guess it has to be to house the trains! My favourite part was the exhibit on the original train inventions and particularly those of George Stephenson, the Father of the Railways. They even had a replica of the Rocket, the very first steam train that transformed the way we travelled for ever more.
My top tips:
Make sure you take a seat in a steam locomotive - fun for both kids and adults alike!
