We had a wonderful day out here at the Wetlands Centre. The kids loved exploring this vast site and in between the different aviary areas, there were adventure playgrounds. The bird hides were huge and had posters up on the walls so that you could spot the different species. The water vole city was enormous fun - with tunnels to hide in, slide down and generally have loads of fun. Seeing the baby birds was lovely. The education centre was good fun - especially the kitchen area with drawers and cupboards to open and find answers to the quizzes. The cafe was very child friendly and as it was pouring down all day, they let us eat our sandwiches inside so that we could dry off! We thought that this was lovely so bought some hot chocolates to warm up!

My top tips: Se e the flamingoes, blue beaked ducks and try and spot a water vole!
