About the site...
Families Recommend is born out of a desire to find the best places to go with those dearest to us. And by ‘Families’ we mean it in its widest sense (with children, your wider family, your group of friends, anyone really).
We’re trying to get away from a directory of listings. We want to read about great real-life experiences. We want to visit restaurants, have holidays or choose a service that is recommended by those who have had a thoroughly good time.
How many times have you gone somewhere or tried something because someone else recommended it? Well if it’s not on this site then it’s not recommended – yet. But you can change that.
We ask you as a user of this site to submit your recommendations about places, services or products you’ve loved or enjoyed, once or many times. We hope that you will find a new gem through the site and come back and comment on your experience. If you think that what you have to say doesn’t fit within our categories then contact us and we will remedy it for you.
This site is only as good as the recommendations it has. The more recommendations the more useful the site is. At the same time it encourages businesses and services to up their game.
