I have been to Adventure Land twice. On both occasions I found it a fantastic day out for the children. There is much to do and lots of fun doing it. To begin with you have an area with lots of animals, to see and handle: Rabbits guinea pigs, llamas, shetland ponies, sheep, goats, etc etc. then there is a big in door sandpit and a soft play area. then its on to another sector were there is a huge soft play are with big astra slide great fun! then there is an outdoor area with swings, gliding slope, zip wire, two little trains climbing frames pond, castle like play area. There is so much to see and do. there is a healthy lunch for children with cheese sandwich, yougurt, apple small biscuit and a packet of crisps £2 spectacular views over lush green countryside and lots of healthy clear air. I am going again.
My top tips: be willing to enjoy yourself

We had been looking forward to visiting Adventure Valley for a while so decided to take my daughter for her 4th birthday. I had kept vouchers from Raring2Go magazine for £2 per person off and although my son turned 2, 4 weeks earlier we said he was under 2 !! So it was £7.95 (£5.95 with discount) per adult and £5.95 (£3.95 with discount) for my daughter and my little boy was free!! Considering it should have been around £30 without discounts I find this very over priced...considering we went to Lightwater Valley and paid £40 for the 4 of us....at least there the adults could actually go on rides etc. I fail to see why we are paying £7.95!! It's difficult to describe really, it's not a farm as there are only a few animals, it's not a soft play either as the indoor soft play is quite small and then the only other indoor activity is a big sandpit and a bouncy castle...all inside a stable which in the cold weather will not be very pleasant. Then on top of your entry pony rides are £2, Barrel train is £1, indoor car ride is £1, outdoor car's £1, digger's £1....you get the idea. When it has cost you this much for entry everything should then be free. We had lunch in the Italian cafe which for 2 sandwiches and a kids meal with drinks came to £15. We were very dissapointed to say the least. The indoor soft play is not as good as other soft play's in the area, quite small really. The outdoor play area is the best part with a seperate toddler and older children's area, there is a great bouncing pillow, sand pit and slide. I wasn't too keen on the performing pigs and racing sheep....would much rather just watch them in a field doing what they should be doing. The big slide is for over 5's only, but my husband did go down with our little boy on his knee. The go carts were good, but we did have to wait a while when the guy on duty decided to go off and assist the tractor ride for about 5 mins....! They will be busy this year with people going to see what is on offer, school trips etc but I'm not sure whether people will return. The kids had a great time and there were lot's of good things for them...if the cost was better we would take them back, but unfortunately at the current price I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
My top tips:  Have a look for vouchers for money off, take a packed lunch to eat on the grass. Avoid weekends and school holidays as it's busy!! Take the tractor ride....it's not amazing, just down a field to the river, no animals to see there but it gives everyone a break and make's you feel you did get something for your money. Pick a good day too, if it's raining don't go as there's not enough indoor activities to warrant the price.

Newly opened in Durham it has lots to do. It is split into Zones with different activities, these are 1) Farmyard with lots of animals to pet and feed, 2) Busy bees barn with an indoor sandpit, bouncy castle and little ride ons, 3) Indoor soft play and cafe with a large playframe, electric go carts (although these were £1 extra and didn't seem to last long), Italian cafe, and a under 5's playframe (n.b. socks are needed for the playframes), 4) Action Creek outdoor play area with big jumping pillows (plus a separe one for under 5's) Go karts, two park area's sand pits, 5) Runaway Ranch with zip wires, big slide which you go down on sledges and sheep races happen here. They hold activities through out the day such as feed the lambs, tractor & Trailer rides, pony grooming or pony rides. They also have a small astro-turf pitch, quad bikes, and log cabins to hire for party rooms. A little pricy at £7.95 per adult and £5.95 per child over two but there is a lot to do and you can fill a day.
My top tips:  We went on a Friday afternoon (term time) with our 1 and 3 year olds, and although lots of other people there it was big enough for us to go round and get some of the activities to ourselves which was fab (we had the big slide and the bouncy castle to ourselves when we were on them so our little ones (and us) could run free! This may not last as more people find out about Adventure Land though as only opened last month!. There was a lot to do and we had a fab time, we had great weather but they do have a good mix of indoor and ourdoor activities so you could go an a rainy day too (I'm told they have indoor activities planned for rainy days to keep everyone busy). My little girl liked the sheep racing (chasing lady with the food) was very funny and the bouncy pillows and petting the animals, and my 3 year old loved all the climbing (indoor and out), big slides, zips wire (which was rather fast with quite an abrupt end but luckily my little one is a bit of a monkey so holds on well and wanted 3 more goes!). Both said they would go back and were shattered when we left (always good). The cafe is italian themed with pizza, pasta, burgers, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and a selection of cakes. Food is cooked fresh on the premises. I can't comment on the food as we went after lunch time naps so didn't have any food there, cakes did look quite nice though. Cup of coffee was £1.20.
