For those looking for a little luxury but with the benefit of self catering this is ideal. Once your children are asleep after running for miles in northumberland countryside you can enjoy a little luxury. Have a bath in the fabulous bathrooms...enjoy a glass of wine outside in the courtyard...there are plenty of possibilities. You can book beauty treatments, and even with kids if you negotiate individual time and you can all get what you want. I am a fan of 'nice' things and these apartments are so beautifully decorated without being 'stuffy'.

My top tips: Setting so lovely you dont need to travel far ... you dont even need to drive if you choose not to.
