I popped into this cafe as I was passing through Whitley Bay. I wanted to check it out, as I had heard good things about it from others. It's a cafe with a difference! Part of the cafe is a soft play area and the rest dedicated to seating. The place is not massive, so parents can sit and drink their coffee and be able to watch their children closely. I went on a Monday morning and it was pretty busy, lots of mums meeting for coffee with their toddlers and babies. The range of food and drink was good, and not expensive, but what impressed me was the niceness of the staff. Even though I had popped in without a child, I was welcomed warmly. The snacks and sandwiches looked lovely and I can definitely vouch for the shortbread! The place is really modern, well designed, and there is a gate at the front entrance to stop little people from running out of the shop and into the road. I will be heading back to Runamokka with my little one very soon!
My top tips:  A great place to take the kids when you want to have a natter with your friends.
