The Deep is a massive aquarium which we visited with adult friends. The place is built around one massive aquarium tank and you work your way around in a spiral from top to bottom through your tour. the aquarium is set out into zones and themes. There is so much to see and do and loads of activity stations for the kids. There are also small tanks throughout with all kinds of sea life. You can put your head into a glass bubble and the fish seem to swim around your head, which is amazing. I've been to a few aquariums but this one seems well planned and well run. I've been a couple of times and enjoyed it everytime. It's not cheap, about £9 for adults and £7 for kids. They do family tickets and concessionary prices too. I think students can get in cheaper with their NUS card. There is also a cafe and a shop. Both of which are reasonably priced.
My top tips:
Go when it opens for the day or just before it closes to avoid the queues
