Almost every time I'm in Edinburgh we go to The Dome on George Street (the end near Harvey Nichols - just along from the Hard Rock Cafe). I'm never disappointed the food and service is always fantastic and the decor is beautiful. The Dome is an old building with several seperate dining areas, but all very glam and in keeping with the old building. The floral arrangements are spectacular and if you ever visit at Xmas the front of the building is amazingly festive. As a veggie the menu options are not huge, but I've never disliked anything on the set menu menu. I'm sure you can also go in just for a drink and the G&T's are very nice.

My top tips: People will often just go straight into the main Grill Room for their meal (which is beautiful), but do try the Club Room sometime (panelled walls and a more initimate atmosphere). Seems to be an adults only place - I've never seen children in there.
