On a gorgeous and sunny day this naturally beautiful phenomenon is a must see when in Northern Ireland. We went over just for the day as the budget airlines had flights at just the right time (and there was no volcanic ash thankfully). Fabulous coastline in either direction and only an hours drive from Belfast airport. Easily spend the day there as there are other things nearby such as the Bushmills distillery. As for the Causeway, photos do not do it justice but still look brilliant. The sea has an almost mediterranean feel to it.

My top tips: National Trust cards are valid in Northern Ireland so take it with you Hire a Car from the airport. Ours was very cheap for the day Take spare cloths as the water is fantastic on the causeway and you will want to get your feet wet Take a camera Get a pint of Guiness somewhere. That is worth it too !
